United Nellore District Library Organization Chairperson mekapati shanti kumari Inspects Libraries Across the District. And gave so many directions to improve more facilities.
She visited libraries in Gundemadakalu, Vinjamuru, Kondapuram, Kaligiri, Brahmanakak, and Jaladanki. Local leaders, party workers, and staff accorded a grand welcome to the Chairperson at the libraries.
Speaking on the occasion, Mekapati Shanthi Kumari said that after the coalition government came to power, it recognized the importance of libraries for the public and is working for their development under the leadership of IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh Babu. She said that since taking charge as Chairperson of the Nellore District Library Organization, she has been visiting all the libraries in the district. As part of this, she inspected the libraries that are being upgraded from Grade 2 to Grade 3.
She added that a model library has already been built in Mangalagiri, the constituency of Nara Lokesh Babu, and that the coalition government is working to set up model libraries across the state in line with current technology. Proposals have been submitted to the government to establish two model libraries in Nellore district. She said that the United Nellore District Library will also be developed into a model library with all facilities soon to provide students, youth, and book lovers in the area with a peaceful reading environment. She assured that she will work for the development of libraries with everyone’s cooperation.
