Srikalahasti, June 13, (Punnami News): The ‘Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026′ program to be undertaken by the Election Commission of India is a key process aimed at preparing the voters’ list in a more transparent and error-free manner, said the leaders of the Srikalahasti constituency Telugu Desam Party. A special meeting was held with the booth-level agents of political parties under the leadership of the Constituency Election Officer and RDO Bhanu Prakash at the meeting hall of the local municipal office. A comprehensive discussion was held with the officials on the responsibilities and duties to be performed by the BLOs and party BLAs within the 294 polling booths in the constituency. The TDP leaders who participated on this occasion learned about the procedures related to the ‘SIR-2026’ program, and brought the problems faced at the field level to the attention of the officials and suggested solutions. They explained that the main objective of this program is to prepare a reliable voter list by correcting the errors in the voter list, registering new eligible voters and removing the names of ineligible voters. They called on every citizen to take responsibility and cooperate with this program to further strengthen the electoral process in India, the world’s largest democracy. TDP Town President Vijayakumar, General Secretary Kasaram Ramesh, Directors of various corporations, State representatives Minnal Ravi, M. Subbaiah, Dr. M. Umesh Rao, Sheikh Khader Basha, Cluster in-charges, party leaders and activists participated in this meeting.
