Srikalahasti, June 13, (Punnami News): An awareness program on the elimination of child labor was organized for the members of the Children’s Association under the auspices of Pragathi Non-Governmental Organization in Erramareddypalli village of Srikalahasti Rural Mandal. In this program, children were widely educated about the importance of education, children’s rights, and the ill effects of child labor. Speaking on the occasion, the organization’s co-convener Ramachandra said that every child should attend school regularly and continue their education until at least the age of 18. He said that education is a strong foundation to achieve high goals in life, and a society without child labor is the beginning of true development. He explained that if one gets involved in work and gets away from education at a young age, there is a risk of losing future opportunities. The importance of child rights and education was explained to the children in an easy-to-understand manner through charts and pictures. The children who participated in the conference were aware of the harms caused by child labor and believed that a bright future is possible for them only through education. The organizers of the event called on all children to focus on education and achieve their goals.
