State-run oil marketing companies have reduced the price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder for commercial use by ₹183.50 per refill. This is the first price cut this year and the main reason for this is the improvement in supply conditions due to the easing of tensions in West Asia. The new prices have come into effect in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. However, there was no change in the prices of LPG cylinders for domestic use. At the same time, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) used by domestic airlines has also been reduced by ₹5 per litre. Experts believe that the decision is likely to provide some financial relief to hotels, restaurants and small traders.
