In the second day of political training classes organized by the CPI(M) Vaira Division Committee at Motukuri Gardens in Thimmaraopet village of Enkur mandal, Bodapatla Ravinder taught the topic “Secularism- Resistance” on Sunday morning and Bandaru Ramesh taught the topic “Money Capitalism- Imperialism” in the afternoon. Speaking on the occasion, they criticized that corporate companies in the country are promoting religious politics for their profits and that Modi is giving a hand to corporate companies. They criticized that religious politics is being promoted to divert people’s attention from unemployment, price rise, agricultural crisis and labor problems. They warned that the relationship between corporate companies and religious forces has become dangerous for the Constitution and democracy. They expressed their concern that wealth is being concentrated in the hands of a few, the wealth of corporates is increasing exponentially, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, and the living standards of the common people are deteriorating day by day. He said that efforts to incite religious hatred should be thwarted, and that public movements should be strengthened to protect secular and democratic values and resolve public issues. Party workers should fight on public issues with more political awareness. He said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the values of secular democracy and equality provided by the Indian Constitution. He said that there is a need for all secular and democratic activists to fight unitedly against the authoritarian policies of the BJP government.
