Revenue officials who protected government land

Revenue officials who protected government land seized 500 yards of government land and removed precast retaining walls. MRO Sudarshan Reddy, who responded immediately to the complaint of Telangana Land Conservation Committee, thwarted an attempt by the revenue officials to encroach on government land located in Survey No. 24 under Kuntlur village revenue limits of Abdullapurmet mandal of Rangareddy district. Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) Sudarshan Reddy responded immediately to the complaint received under the auspices of Telangana Land Conservation Committee and took steps to protect the government land. According to the information, representatives of Telangana Land Conservation Committee found that some people had taken advantage of the Sunday holiday to construct precast retaining walls on government land. When this matter was brought to the attention of MRO Sudarshan Reddy over the phone, he responded immediately and sent a special team to the scene on Monday morning. The Mandal Girdavar, Mandal Surveyor, Village Administrative Officer (VPO) and other revenue staff jointly inspected the survey number 24 area in Kuntlur village. After examining the land records and conducting a field survey, about 500 yards of government land were identified. Later, the precast boundary walls illegally erected on the government land were removed with the help of JCB. In addition, a ditch was dug around the government land to prevent any encroachment in the future. Later, an official warning board was installed to clearly indicate that the place belongs to the government. Officials said that with these measures, the encroachment attempt on government land has been checked. Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Telangana Land Conservation Committee appreciated the initiative shown by the officials in the protection of government lands. They demanded that the Revenue Department should act more strictly to protect the lands belonging to the people. They demanded that legal action be taken against those encroaching on government lands. The revenue officials suggested that the people should also be partners in the protection of government assets and that if any encroachment of government lands is seen anywhere, they should immediately inform the concerned authorities. It was made clear that no illegal construction or encroachment on government lands will be tolerated. This action taken in Kuntlur village has become a topic of discussion locally. The villagers welcome the steps taken by the Revenue Department to protect government land and want strict action to be taken against such encroachments in the future as well.
