*Request to DRO to start High School Plus classes in Brahmangari Matham Mandal:- AIYF AISF* AIYF District President Peddulapalle Prabhakar AISF District President Battala Sivateja submitted a request to DRO Mallikarjuna at the Grievances Office of the Kadapa Collectorate on Monday to reopen the High School Plus in Brahmangari Matham Mandal Center of Kadapa district and start classes. Speaking on the occasion, they said that High School Plus was sanctioned in 2024 in Brahmangari Matham Mandal Center of Kadapa district and classes were conducted with 25 students for one year and the college was closed for the second year on the pretext of not having full-fledged staff. They requested that this government junior college be reopened and classes should be started in this academic year itself. Since Brahmangari Matham Mandal is a rural area, the people of the surrounding villages are mostly engaged in agriculture-based work and earn a living. The mandal has a high percentage of poor, marginalized and weaker sections of the population. Although parents hope to send their children to higher education, they cannot afford to send them to private colleges or have to travel more than 50 kilometers to go to government colleges, so they are quitting their studies midway and becoming agricultural laborers. The buildings for High School Plus are almost 80% complete and they have requested that they be put into use and classes should be started. Although the old Gurukul school buildings are unused, there is a situation where they are not suitable for them in the Brahmangarimatham mandal center. They have requested the District Collector to take steps with the concerned education department officials to start classes for this academic year.
