SPSR Nellore District June 26 (Punnami Representative) Muharram (Festival of the Peers) celebrations are continuing with devotion in Kagitalapur village of Manubolu mandal. On the occasion of the month of Muharram, the Peers (Panja) are being installed in the village and special prayers are being performed. Hindu and Muslim brothers are participating in the celebrations together as a symbol of religious harmony. At night, a third fire pit was set up at the Peer’s hut, and devotees walked on the fire and fulfilled their vows. A large number of villagers attended the celebrations. These festivals, which are held every year, are a special attraction in the village, expressing the feelings of unity and devotion.
