He has sought a detailed report on the impact of the project on the environment, biodiversity and local tribal communities in Galathia Bay. He expressed concern over the potential for damage to forest areas and marine ecosystems due to the construction of large-scale infrastructure. He suggested that environmental protection should be given priority while balancing the development needs of the country. He also asked that all study reports related to the project be made available to the public.
