Awareness on suicide prevention among female students in Nellore!

The government has organized a special awareness program on the prevention of suicides among women and students in Nellore district. As part of the awareness programs being undertaken by the government to prevent suicides among women in Nellore district, a special awareness program was organized for students at DCR ZP Boys’ High School and ZP Girls’ High School in Podalakur Road. This program was organized on the instructions of ICDS Project Director B. Hena Sujan and with the instructions of District Child Welfare Officer B. Suresh. Speaking on the occasion, DCR ZP Boys’ School Principal PV Krishna Reddy advised girls to face the problems they face in life with courage and not lose self-confidence under any circumstances. CH Samatha of the District Child Welfare Department said that women and youth are mentally depressed due to reasons like stress, anxiety, depression and financial difficulties in the current mechanical life. They were advised to get rid of negative thoughts, set life goals and work towards achieving them. He said that there is a solution to every problem and that family circumstances or other difficulties are not obstacles in achieving high goals. Jyotirmayi, principal of ZP Girls’ High School, said that if children face any problems, they should immediately contact the 1098 Child Helpline. Principals PV Krishna Reddy, Jyotirmayi, ICPS staff CH Samatha, Councilor B. Josna, OSC Councilor Kamala and others participated in this program.
