Punnami Rep. Tallapudi June 26: Transport department officials conducted surprise inspections in Tallapudi mandal. In these inspections conducted at 1:19 pm on Friday under the supervision of Brake Inspector K. Siva Prasad, action was taken against autos and other transport vehicles plying without proper documents. Speaking on the occasion, the Brake Inspector said that fines were imposed on the spot for vehicles without key documents like driving license, registration papers, insurance, fitness, and permit. A fine ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 15,000 has been imposed on each vehicle that violated the rules, and the fined autos have been shifted to Tallapudi police station and they are asked to pay the fine and release the autos. He also said that special cases will be registered if the permit conditions are violated and passengers are loaded beyond the capacity. The safety of passengers is important to us. There is a possibility of accidents if vehicles without license and fitness are on the road. Every driver should keep all the original documents with him. He warned that checks will continue daily from now on and strict action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules. He advised all motorists to renew their documents immediately and complete pending work at the RTA office.
