Ummayyadevara Math Rudrayya was felicitated with ‘Suvarna Kankanam’ by the priests of Kurnool Sri Gauri Shankara Swamy Temple and Telangana Atmakur Sri Peddamma Thalli Temples, and prominent astrologers. He was presented with the ‘Suvarna Kankanam’ by Sri Ummayyadevara Math Rudrayya garu for his contribution to the field of astrology in the two Telugu states at the 19th Vedic Astrology Conference held under the auspices of ‘Vishwajyoti Jyotishya Vigyan Sanstha’ (Hyderabad) at the J.P. Nagar Pai Convention Hall in Bengaluru. The award was presented to Rudrayya garu by ICAS representative Smt. Gayathri Devi Vasudev (daughter of B.V. Raman), eminent astrologers Sri Palaparthi Srikantha Sharma and Sri Jonnalagadda Srinivasa Rao. Many dignitaries congratulated him on receiving this rare honour.
