Government orders issued: The government has lifted the suspension of former Intelligence Chief P.V. Sunil Kumar. In the wake of his retirement on June 30, GO Rt. No.1274 was issued and he was relieved from service. It has been clarified that the pending departmental and criminal investigations will continue. It has been stated that there will be no impact on the investigation of cases even after retirement. It has been stated that pension benefits will be applicable as per the relevant rules. Orders have been issued to the DGP for further action. While the orders were issued as per the orders of the Governor, the government has stated that the opportunity for retirement has been provided during the suspension.
