In a special raid conducted by the Dargamitta police in the Magunta Layout area of the city, action was taken against a gang operating a prostitution ring. Three people were arrested and cash, cellphones and other items were seized from them. A case has been registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 and investigation is underway. The Dargamitta police said that they are maintaining constant vigil to curb anti-social activities in the city and strict action will be taken against such illegal activities. The public has been asked to provide information on suspicious activities.
