Ankinapalli sets new record as Kavali Rotary President, provides free HPV vaccine to 1150 girls

As his term as president ends in another fortnight, Kavali Rotary President Ankinapalli Ramesh Reddy has created a new record in the history of Rotary. On Saturday, 1150 girls were given free anti-cancer vaccines at the Kavali Red Cross building under the auspices of the Rotary Club. Kavali is the second in the state to be given free vaccines as a precaution to prevent teenage girls from developing chronic diseases such as cervical cancer in the future. With the cooperation of Rotary elders in making the vaccine available in Kavali, which costs Rs 2500 each, and the efforts of Ramesh Reddy Governor Kurapati Madhav Reddy, a large-scale vaccine camp was organized with the voluntary donations of donors. Kavali Rotary Club has the honor of giving such a large number of vaccines in the state after Tadepalli. Since taking charge as the Rotary President in July last year, Ramesh Reddy has been providing innovative services and has accelerated the slow Rotary cycle. In this context, the many service programs he has undertaken over the years have stood out in the history of Kavali Rotary. YMLA Krishna Reddy, RDO Elisha, Rotary Governor Ravindra, Rotary elders Bharat Reddy, and others who attended the inauguration ceremony praised the services provided by Kavali Rotary as excellent. Governor Madhav Reddy said that the initiative shown by President Ramesh Reddy in providing services is commendable. Speaking on the occasion, Madhav Reddy said that since Ramesh Reddy took charge as the president, Kavali Rotary has been eager to provide innovative services, and in that process, his initiative in providing this vaccine has made them sleepless nights. President Ramesh Reddy said that he has no other hope than to serve the post he has taken up honestly and thanked the Rotary elders, IMA doctors and Red Cross members who helped in the arrangements for this vaccine. He said that there are about 13,000 girls in Kavali and they have to be vaccinated in stages. On this occasion, it was a great achievement to vaccinate the students who came from schools in different areas without any difficulty, and the Rotary members made a special effort to provide facilities for them. Rotary representatives Harikrishna Reddy, Pratap Reddy and Venkateswarlu Reddy immediately provided fresh water, buttermilk and food to all the students who came to the camp and encouraged the vaccinated girls by heating buttermilk juice and making the camp a success. Students of Lakshmi Physiotherapy College, Principal Gopi Kannan, Dr. Ravikumar, Dr. Ramaswamy, Dr. Basim Praveen Kumar, and Dr. Anand played a key role.
