Railway Kodur MLA Arava Sridhar has alleged that the YSR Congress Party aims to divide the society by provoking castes. He and Jana Sena State Secretary Tathamsetty Nagendra participated in a press conference held at the Jana Sena Party office in Chitveli on Monday and spoke. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Arava Sridhar criticized that YSRCP leaders are opening the door to caste politics after seeing the public welfare and development programs being undertaken by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. He said that the YSRCP leaders are distorting Pawan Kalyan’s comments that a person who wants the country and society to develop should not be bound by caste. He said that after the incident that took place against Jana Sena activist Kotte Sai in Srikalahasti, Pawan Kalyan himself went and gave courage to the party ranks by visiting them. Later, he said that by giving the same activist the post of Srikalahasti Chairman, they are also giving recognition to ordinary activists. He alleged that the Kapu Corporation was weakened during the YSRCP regime, the construction of Kapu Kalyana Mandapalas was stopped, and students did not receive adequate assistance for scholarships and foreign education. He warned that they should stop promoting caste hatred, otherwise people will teach them a suitable lesson. Janasena State Secretary Tathamsetty Nagendra said that the people will answer the YSRCP leaders who are making caste-based criticisms of Pawan Kalyan. Jagan Mohan Reddy also said that it is not right to criticize Pawan Kalyan when he is contesting in his own constituency. He questioned whether the YSRCP has the courage to face Pawan Kalyan if he contests in Tirupati in the future. He alleged that the YSRCP government had done injustice to the Kapus in the matter of EWS reservations and questioned why the YSRCP leaders did not respond at that time. He criticized the YSRCP leaders for not responding to incidents like Konaseema incidents and the death of Kapu youth Vengayya. He expressed confidence that the Kapu community will support honest leader Pawan Kalyan no matter how much he campaigns. Jana Sena leaders and Kapu youth including Madasu Narasimha, Madduri Manmadha, Peddangari Sai, Kaveri Avinash, Madasu Shiva, Anandala Teja, Konisetty Chakri, Suvarapu Hariprasad, Madineni Raja and other leaders participated in the meeting.
