Jaya Pratap Reddy Nellore Bureau (June Punnami) Former minister and YSR Congress Party district president of the joint Nellore district “Dr” Kakani Govardhan Reddy said that he will not hesitate to sacrifice his life for the border lift and will wage an uncompromising fight until justice is served to the farmers. Former MLAs Mekapati Vikram Reddy, Legislative Council Member Parvatha Reddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, former MLAs Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah, Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy, Nellore Rural In-charge Anam Vijayakumar Reddy, Venkatagiri Constituency In-charge Neduru Malli Ram Kumar Reddy, former Zilla Parishad Chairman Bommireddy Raghavendra Reddy, farmers, people, YSR Congress Party key leaders and activists, along with Kakani Govardhan Reddy inspected the Somasila project for the “Chalo Somasila” program undertaken by the Nellore District YSR Congress Party with the aim of implementing the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme. Local leaders welcomed the YSR Congress Party leaders who went to Somasila in a huge rally with about 200 cars and 300 bikes from the Kaluvai National Highway. Kakani expressed his anger over the police’s behavior in obstructing the visit to Chalo Somasila and blocking the YSRCP ranks by closing the gates of the Somasila project. After a large crowd came, ignoring the police restrictions, Kakani strongly criticized the government’s behavior after visiting the Somasila project along with the farmers. He warned that he would launch a strong movement along with the farmers on this issue.
