Was there a huge scam in Sathupalli Food Park? Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demands release of white paper on Rs. 109 crore project, CBI, CVC to investigate

Khammam, June 18 (Puvvada Nagendra Kumar Punnami District Reporter) BJP national leader, Karnataka-Tamil Nadu states co-incharge and former MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that the state government immediately release a white paper on the matter, alleging that there have been massive irregularities in the Sathupalli Mega Food Park. He inspected the Sathupalli Food Park on Wednesday under the leadership of Khammam district BJP president Nelluri Koteswara Rao. Later, speaking to the media, he alleged that the Rs. 109.50 crore Mega Food Park project set up for the development of farmers and processing of agricultural products was run without transparency. He said that the central government provided Rs. 49.70 crore for this project, while the state government was only responsible for land acquisition. He alleged that there was a big conspiracy behind acquiring lands from local farmers at the lowest prices and later allocating them to corporate companies. He criticized the farmers for giving away their lands with the hope of getting jobs and employment opportunities in the future, but the government has betrayed their hopes. He expressed doubts about the allocation of 84 acres of land to a private company from Andhra Pradesh and alleged that land was allocated to ‘Deepak NexGen’ at a price below the market price. He demanded that the government answer the question of whether land allocations were made without cabinet approval. He demanded that a comprehensive investigation be conducted into all the transactions in the food park affair and a white paper be released with full details. He said that if necessary, he would request the central government to conduct an investigation with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He made it clear that the BJP will continue its struggle until justice is served to the farmers in this matter. Later, he planted saplings on the Greenfield Highway near Sathupalli. State spokesperson Namburi Ramalingeswara Rao, state executive member Rudra Pradeep, state council member Jonnalagadda Naresh, district chief secretary Naidu Raghavarao, district secretary Veeramraju and others participated in the program.
