Khammam, June (Puvvada Nagendra Kumar Punnami District Reporter) Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Congress government is working to ensure that the welfare schemes implemented in the state reach every household, and the goal of “Indiramma Rajyam” is the economic, social and political empowerment of women. He participated as the chief guest and spoke at the Mahila Congress review meeting organized by the Khammam District Congress Committee. He said that the dream of houses for the poor could not be fulfilled in the previous government, and after the Congress government came to power, Indiramma houses are being sanctioned with financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh to every eligible poor family. He said that last year, 4.50 lakh houses were sanctioned across the state, and this year 2,000 houses have been allotted to Khammam constituency. He assured that if there are still eligible people, they will also be provided houses. He said that steps like fee reimbursement for poor students, 100 days of work under the Employment Guarantee Scheme, diet in residential schools, and increase in cosmetic charges have been taken. He revealed that Young India Integrated Residential Schools will be set up in each constituency at a cost of Rs. 200 crore. He also said that the Rajiv Arogyasri limit has been increased to Rs. 10 lakh and better medical services are being provided to the poor. He said that for the empowerment of women, Dwakra women are being provided with interest-free loans, free bus travel, opportunities in the management of RTC buses under the leadership of women, petrol pumps, women’s power canteens, and solar power stations. Bhatti Vikramarka called on the women’s Congress leaders to take the welfare schemes implemented by the government to every door and explain them to the people. Mahila Congress State President Errabelli Swarna, District President Dobbala Soujanya, Vaira MLA Ramdas Nayak, DCC President Nuthi Satyanarayana Goud, chairmen of various corporations, and Congress leaders participated in this meeting.
