Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that complete self-reliance in the security sector can be achieved only if the country’s capacity to meet its needs domestically increases. He laid the foundation stone of a modern aluminium extrusion press unit in Nagpur, Maharashtra. This centre will be used to manufacture key components required for the defence, space, missile, railway and aviation sectors. He said that it is necessary to increase domestic production capacities without depending on foreign imports. He said that this project will play a key role in achieving the goal of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
