Chittiboina Subbarayudu Yadav, Director of the State Civil Supply Corporation, visited the Mandal Civil Supply Godowns in Maidukuru. On Tuesday, several irregularities were found in the Civil Supply Godowns. He said that the rice bags provided to the hostels for the mid-day meal scheme from the godowns were being reduced in size. He said that the CCTV cameras installed in the godowns were not only not working, but also the cameras were installed in such a way that their movements were not visible. He strongly accused the district civil supply officials of recycling and providing substandard rice or worm-infected rice taken from procurement centers in the main godown at Chennur. He said that while the state government is taking strong steps to protect the health of students with many high intentions, the district civil supply officials are greedily playing with the health of students. He said he would meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Lokesh to take action against the district civil supply officials.
