The incident took place on Saturday in Vinoba Nagar village under Nagalapuram mandal of Satyavedu constituency of Tirupati district. According to the details of the locals, Sampath (50) of Vinoba Nagar village, a laborer, had gone for work on Saturday morning and returned home after finishing his work. He was going to the Valmikeshwara Swamy temple in Ramagiri village of Pichaturu mandal with a water can on his bicycle for drinking water. He was on his way to the Krishnapuram village of Nagalapuram mandal when a lorry hit the bicycle from behind. Sampath died on the spot in the accident. The locals immediately informed the Nagalapuram police about this. The Nagalapuram police reached the spot and examined the circumstances surrounding the accident. Later, the body was shifted to Satyavedu Government Hospital for postmortem. They registered a case and are investigating the complaint filed by the relatives. The relatives who reached the spot shed tears after seeing Sampath’s body.
