Sri Kalahasti, June 21, (Punnami News): The joint Chittoor district level Under-19 Mandal Invitation Ball Badminton Tournament concluded on Sunday at the RPBS ZP Boys High School ground in Sri Kalahasti town. The competitions were organized on Saturday and Sunday by local senior players and under the auspices of the Ball Badminton Association. Players from Sri Kalahasti, Thottambedu, KVB Puram, Nagari, BN Kandriga and Vedurukuppam mandals competed enthusiastically in this tournament. BJP State Vice President Kola Anand was the chief guest at this closing ceremony and congratulated the players. Speaking on the occasion, he said that such tournaments should be organized every month for the development of ball badminton. He said that these would help in bringing out the talent among the players in rural areas. Sports personalities and organizers Nagamalli Munikrishna, Vanneti Chandra, Gopi, Chenchuratnam, Subbu, Salapakshi Naresh, Jangam Gangadharam, Purushottam, Sudhakar, Ravi, Yuvraj and others participated in this program.
