The state government has launched special measures in collaboration with central intelligence and enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking in Kerala. A high-level coordination meeting was held to further strengthen this ongoing program named ‘Operation Tufan’. The meeting, chaired by state Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, discussed issues such as rapid sharing of intelligence information and increasing surveillance in border areas. The government has announced that strict measures will be taken to protect the youth from falling prey to drugs.
