Lions Club and Impact International members planted saplings with students in the Swarna Andhra – Swachh Andhra program Lions Club of Kurnool and Impact International jointly organized the “Swarna Andhra – Swachh Andhra” program at ZPHS Peddanelatur School in Gonegandla Mandal. On this occasion, they planted saplings with the students to create awareness about environmental protection. Renowned motivational speaker Lion K.K. Dhamodar Rao, who attended the program as the chief guest, said, “Swarna Andhra is possible only with clean surroundings, green nature, and youth with good values. Every student should plant at least one sapling and take responsibility for its protection.” Later, the students were made aware of topics such as personality development, discipline, goal setting, leadership qualities and social responsibility. The students participated enthusiastically and pledged to do their best to protect the saplings. Lions Club members, Impact International representatives, school teachers and students participated in the program. The teachers felt that the program contributed to environmental awareness as well as personality development among the students.
