A new mobile app called ‘Abhiyan’ will soon be available to the police departments across the country. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched this app. Through this app, the police can collect fingerprints of individuals with the help of a portable fingerprint scanner and match them with the national database in just 35 seconds. The details of more than 1.3 crore criminals in the country will be available in it.
