Gajuwaka, July 2 (Punnami Correspondent): A woman died and four others were injured in a horrific road accident near Kurmannapalem on Thursday. The accident took place when a car coming from the Anakapalle direction lost control and crashed into a ditch on the side of the road. On receiving information, the Duvvada police immediately reached the spot and took up rescue operations. Manga (48) died on the spot and Kusuma (46) was seriously injured. Vijayalakshmi (56) and Tanvi (7) escaped with minor injuries, while the car driver Bala Muralikrishna was also injured. All the injured were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Initial information is that the accident took place while they were returning from a wedding function in Anakapalle. The Duvvada police have registered a case and are investigating the exact reasons for the accident.
