When the officials conducted inspections on the information that gravel was being transported illegally, a heated argument broke out between the representatives of AMR company and the tractor owners. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Later, Somasila North Canal JE Madanamohan Rao also reached there at midnight, inspected the situation and took action along with the officials. The officials seized 8 tractors that were found to be transporting gravel illegally during the inspections. Speaking on the occasion, JE Madanamohan Rao warned that there will be no leniency against those who violate government regulations and commit irregularities and strict legal action will be taken. He said that inspections and monitoring will continue continuously to curb illegal gravel transportation.
