He was selected as the **Overall All-Round Officer** for his outstanding performance in the Marine Engineering course conducted at the prestigious INS Shivaji Naval Training Institute near Lonavala in the state of Maharashtra and received the prestigious “The Hammer” trophy from the hands of a senior naval officer. Vihas, who was recently promoted from the rank of Sub-Lieutenant to the rank of Lieutenant, is special in receiving this distinguished award for his outstanding performance in all areas of training, academic excellence, leadership qualities, discipline and more. The villagers and family members expressed happiness that the young man from Tallapudi village has risen to a high position in the field of national defense and has been recognized at the national level. “This success achieved by our village child Vihas will serve as a role model for the youth and inspire them to serve the country,” the village elders congratulated.
