Make Pulse Polio a success – Dr. Balu

Sri Kalahasti, June 27, (Punnami News): Dr. Balu, Medical Officer of Sriramnagar Colony UPHC, appealed to all the people to take responsibility and make the National Pulse Polio Program to be held today a success. He urged that every child under the age of five should be given polio drops. He said that no matter how many times polio drops have been given in the past, it is very important to give drops in this phase as well to completely protect children from contracting polio. Stating that the cooperation of parents is crucial for building a polio-free society, he revealed that special arrangements have been made at all polio centers for the program in coordination with medical staff, ANMs, ASHA workers and Anganwadi staff. He said that polio drops will be administered door to door in areas where children who cannot come to the booths are needed. Dr. Balu urged that not a single child should miss this opportunity and should be brought to the nearest polio center and given drops, and that all public representatives, voluntary organizations and the public should cooperate to make this grand program a success.
