Pulse Polio-2026 program should be successful. Every child between the ages of 0-5 should be given polio drops on June 28. Punnami News Correspondent: 27 June 2026 Medical and Health Department officials have called on all the people to make the Pulse Polio-2026 program, jointly organized by the Central and State governments to completely eradicate polio from the country, a success. In this special program to be organized on June 28 (Sunday), it is advised that every child between the ages of 0 and 5 should be given two polio drops. Officials have clarified that even if the child has already completed all the routine vaccinations, it is necessary to give the two drops given as part of the Pulse Polio program. They said that it is very important for every child to receive these drops to completely stop the spread of the polio virus. On this occasion, it was revealed that free polio drops will be given in all polio booths, Anganwadi centers, primary health centers and government hospitals in the district. Parents were urged to bring their children to nearby centers to get them vaccinated and pave the way for a healthy future. Polio is a dangerous disease that can lead to permanent disability in children. However, medical experts said that the disease can be effectively prevented with just two polio drops. They called on every family, every village, and every citizen to become a partner in polio eradication. The message of “Two drops – Lifelong protection” was conveyed to every household and all the officials appealed to everyone to cooperate in building a polio-free society by getting every child vaccinated without leaving any trace.
