Khammam June (Puvvada Nagendra Kumar Punnami News District Reporter) Bharatiya Janata Party leaders submitted a petition to the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday, demanding urgent construction of a canal near the Vinayaka temple in Srinivas Nagar 17th division of Khammam city. Speaking on the occasion, BJP Khammam district leader Komma Madhu Yadav said that for the last 25 years, about 140 families living in this area have been facing serious problems due to lack of proper canal facilities. Especially during the rainy season, people are suffering from health problems, foul odors and sanitation problems due to the accumulation of sewage between houses. He expressed his concern that due to the lack of a canal, rainwater and sewage are stagnating on the roads, causing serious disruption to the movement of people. He said that children and the elderly are facing the most difficulties. Keeping in mind the problems of the local people, Komma Madhu Yadav said that he has requested the Deputy Commissioner to immediately undertake the construction of the canal and provide a permanent solution. He appealed to the authorities to respond immediately for the health, safety and sanitation of the people. BJP Khammam District Vice President Nakarikanti Veerabhadram, District Treasurer Konatham Lakshminarayana, former convener of joint Khammam District Social Media Sanghadala Sairam, district leaders Battu Rahul Naik and others participated in the program.
