State-wide dharna on 22nd to achieve the just demands of handloom weavers

Distribution of leaflets in Narsapuram – Chintha Purushottam’s call The Andhra Pradesh Handloom Workers’ Association has announced that it will organize a dharna program at the collector’s offices across the state on the 22nd of this month to achieve the just demands of the workers. The association has called for this dharna to be successful. As part of this program, a leaflet distribution program was held in Narsapuram village. Andhra Pradesh Handloom Workers’ Association District Vice President Chintha Purushottam participated and distributed leaflets and called on the handloom workers to make the dharna on the 22nd a success. Speaking on the occasion, Chintha Purushottam demanded that the government immediately resolve the problems faced by the handloom workers. He asked that suitable incentives, marketing facilities and credit facilities be provided to the handloom workers. He suggested that every handloom worker participate in the dharna on the 22nd and make their voice heard. Handloom leaders Mamilla Rangaswamy, Chinta Raghu, Talari Lakshmaiah, Talari Anjaneyulu, Devanarayana, Gangaraju, Bhargava, Chowdarya, Narayanaswamy, Ramanji, Shiva, and others, and Gutthi Suni participated in this program. The association leaders have requested that handloom workers from all districts participate in large numbers in this dharna program being held across the state and convey their demands to the government.
