Special amendment for voters in Karnataka.. No documents required for door-to-door survey

The special voter list revision programme in Karnataka will begin from July 1. On this occasion, booth level officers (BLOs) who will go door to door will hand over the registration forms to the voters and collect them back, said state Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbu Kumar. He clarified that no identity documents need to be submitted at this stage. While the survey will continue till July 29, the draft voter list will be released on August 5. After that, objections and applications will be accepted and the final voter list will be announced on October 7. Election officials said that the main objective of this programme is to accurately record the details of the voters.
