The Pulse Polio program conducted under the Chitwel Primary Health Center (PHC) on Sunday was a success. Under the leadership of PHC medical officers Dr. Sivaprasad Goud and Dr. Salma, polio drops were administered to children aged between birth and five years in 50 polling booths under the secretariats. Medical officers said that about 96 percent of the children were given the drops on the first day. It was revealed that ANMs, AWTs and ASHA workers will go door to door to administer polio drops to the remaining children on Monday and Tuesday. HEO, PHN, health supervisors, ANMs, AWTs and ASHA workers participated in the program.
