Sri Kalahasti, June 28, (Punnami News): Sri Kalahasti: Sri Krishna Charitable Trust founder Mallembakam Munikrishna Reddy has called for the eradication of polio from society permanently and paving the way for a golden future for children. As part of the prestigious National Pulse Polio Program undertaken by the Central and State governments, he participated in the 34th Ward Municipal School Center in the town on Sunday and administered polio drops to children. Speaking on the occasion, Munikrishna Reddy said that about 120 children were administered polio drops at this center. He explained that polio drops increase the immunity of children and prevent the virus from attacking the brain or spinal cord. This can prevent accidents like paralysis and permanent disability, and by administering two drops to every child, the spread of the disease can be effectively stopped. Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, students and others participated in the program.
