Sri Kalahasti, June 17, (Punnami News): Sri Kalahasti Municipality’s new Commissioner K.V. Krishna Reddy was cordially greeted by Dr. Balu and Dr. Girija Prakasam, Medical Officers of Sriramnagar and Gajendranagar Urban Health Centers, on Wednesday. On this occasion, they discussed that the municipal and medical and health departments should work in coordination for the success of the Pulse Polio Program to be held on the 28th of this month and that every child under the age of five should receive polio drops. Also, in view of the upcoming monsoon season, special attention should be paid to sanitation management, mosquito control, drinking water purity, cleaning of drainages, and timely garbage removal in the town. It was decided that the two departments would work together to keep the city clean and healthy with the aim of protecting public health by taking preventive measures to prevent the spread of dengue, malaria, and viral fevers. Local hospital staff also participated in this program.
