Bhaskara Rao, based on reliable information, set up a special surveillance and found a person wandering suspiciously in the Dagguvanipalem area near Pendurthi Railway Station while waiting for the ganja accused. He was immediately arrested after trying to flee on seeing the police and when questioned in the presence of intermediaries, he revealed his name as Parvada Kanaka Ravi Kiran (26), Vijayawada. When his college bag was checked, a total of 3 kg of ganja was found in two packets. A Voppo smartphone was also seized and the call history and WhatsApp chatting details of the mobile were collected and preserved as part of the investigation of the case. During interrogation, the accused confessed that he was buying ganja from a person from Araku area and taking it to sell in Vijayawada. The seized marijuana, mobile phone and other items were seized, the accused was arrested and presented before the Honorable Court. The investigation of the case is ongoing.
