Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed concern that the proposed policies brought by the Central government may affect the livelihood of about 12 lakh workers in the state. He urged the Center to review the decisions keeping in mind the welfare of workers. He said that policies implemented without considering the special conditions of the hill states risk causing hardship to the local people. He made it clear that the state government will take all necessary steps to protect the interests of the workers. He said that discussions will continue with the Center on this issue.
