Thottambedu, June 29, (Punnami News): On the occasion of the Cooperative Week, a sapling planting program was organized on a grand scale under the auspices of Thottambedu Mandal Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) on Monday with the slogan “Prosperity through Cooperation”. The program, organized in the premises of the society office as per the instructions of the Tirupati District Cooperative Department, was jointly inaugurated by the society president Bhimala Bhaskar Mudiraj, Cooperative Department Officer, Society CEO P. Chiranjeevi Reddy, and TDP Mandal General Secretary Chillakuru Balasubramaniam. Speaking on the occasion, Society president Bhaskar Mudiraj said that environmental protection is everyone’s social responsibility and called for planting and protecting them extensively to provide a clean and green environment for future generations. P. Chiranjeevi Reddy, CEO of the society, said that it is gratifying that cooperative societies, in addition to providing financial services to farmers, are also taking the lead in managing social responsibilities such as community development and environmental protection. The organizers said that the program was organized with the aim of further strengthening the cooperative sector and promoting greenery in rural areas and maintaining ecological balance. A large number of local farmers, community employees and staff participated in the program and pledged to plant various types of plants and work towards their conservation.
