Strong evidence of the negligence of the authorities – children seriously injured in a falling tree

Sri Kalahasti, June 17, (Punnami News): A major accident took place on Wednesday evening at Dargamitta, Ward 32 of Sri Kalahasti town. Three children were seriously injured when a huge tree suddenly fell due to the gross negligence of the municipal and electricity department officials. It is noteworthy that this accident occurred due to the normal wind blowing locally. The injured children were identified as children of migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh. Immediately after the accident, the locals responded and rushed the injured to the hospital. Currently, the condition of two children is critical and they are being admitted to the MGM Hospital for better treatment and are being provided emergency treatment. The locals are expressing deep anger that this tragedy happened because the authorities did not pay attention to the removal of dangerous trees and branches obstructing the electric wires despite several complaints in the past. They are demanding that the government provide immediate assistance to the victims.
