P Gannavaram to Punnami Representative September 19. VRAs working as village assistants in P Gannavaram mandal of Dr. B.R Ambedkar Konaseema district have been holding a relay hunger strike across the state for four days at the P Gannavaram mandal tahsildar office demanding an increase in their salaries and allowances for their rights. Mamata Voluntary Service Samiti founder president Dr. Korukonda John visited the VRAs’ hunger strike camp and said that the government should solve the problems of the VROs and provide justice. They expressed solidarity with the VRAs who are working with the lowest salaries due to the rising prices of essential commodities and the burden of children’s education and family and informed the government that the government should respond immediately and resolve their demands. On this occasion, the VRAs raised slogans on a large scale and demanded that the government immediately solve their problems and provide justice.
