Tallapudi, Punnami Representative, June 29: A review meeting was held on Monday under the supervision of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer on the special voter list amendment program in the area of polling stations number-3 and 4 in Tallapudi mandal, Pochavaram village of Kovvur constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Tahsildar Lakshmi Lavanya suggested that every eligible person who has completed 18 years of age should be identified through a door-to-door survey and registered as a new voter. He also directed that the names of those who have died, names of those who have permanently moved to other areas, and duplicate votes registered in more than one place should be immediately removed and the voter list should be completely cleaned. He said that applications should be received through Form-6 for new voter registration, Form-7 for removal of vote, and Form-8 for changes in address or other details and necessary assistance should be provided to the people. She suggested that Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers should work in coordination with each other to prepare a 100 percent clean and error-free voter list. “The right to vote is the fundamental right of every citizen. No eligible person should be left without their name in the voter list. At the same time, the names of ineligible people should not be in the list either. Let us make Pochavaram a village with an ideal voter list with everyone’s cooperation,” said Tehsildar Lakshmi Lavanya. The Mandal Election Supervisor, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and village revenue staff participated in the program.
