Jana Sena leader Kishore criticizes YCP’s intimate meetings as political opportunism. Nellore: Jana Sena Party District General Secretary Kishore Gunukula criticized YCP leaders for suddenly showing love for the Kapu community and holding intimate meetings as evidence of political opportunism. He said that during the last five years of YCP rule, not only did they not show a clear stance on the issue of Kapu reservations, but they also said that huge funds would be allocated to the Kapu Corporation and did not implement it. He said that when many welfare schemes related to education, foreign education and employment opportunities of Kapu youth have been stopped, now they are trying to deceive the people in the name of intimate meetings. He said that the person who committed the crime should be punished according to the law, but it is not right to blame the entire caste for the mistake of one person. He clarified that there are no differences between caste, religion and region for a criminal and everyone is equal before the law. He said that the YSRCP leadership is trying to look at every issue from a caste perspective and that people have not forgotten that during its time in power, opportunities like nominated posts, vice chancellor posts, contracts were tied to a single social group. He criticized those who did not talk about social justice then and are now holding meetings in the name of caste as an attempt to mislead the people. He expressed his concern that today’s youth are thinking beyond caste and religion and are thinking for equality, development and opportunities, but some political leaders are still trying to gain political benefits through caste divisions. He warned that such politics will push society back. Jana Sena Party President and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has always been clearly stating the principle that “anyone who does wrong should be punished”, and the Jana Sena Party is moving forward with the idea that justice should be done regardless of caste, religion or community. He said that YSRCP leaders resort to caste politics because they are unable to talk about public problems, development and welfare programs, but people have now become conscious and are not in a position to believe in political dramas created in the name of caste. He challenged the YSRCP government to explain to the people what development programs have been done for the upliftment of the Kapu community if they really love the Kapu community. He suggested that efforts to create differences between castes should be stopped and discussions should be held on the development of the state, the future of the youth and social integration. Kishore Gunukula clarified that the days of doing politics in the name of caste are ending, people have already rejected politics that divides the society and there will be no place for such politics in the future too.
