Khammam, June (Puvvada Nagendra Kumar Punnami District Reporter) The school bandh call given by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) across the Telangana state was successful in Khammam district on Tuesday. In the wake of the bandh, many government and private educational institutions in the district declared a holiday in advance. The bandh received a special response in Khammam, Sathupalli, Vaira, Madhira and Paleru constituencies. While educational institutions were closed, students did not attend schools. ABVP leaders said that the school bandh continued in a peaceful atmosphere. They said that the bandh call was given to resolve problems in the education sector and protect the interests of students. The police were on alert to prevent any untoward incidents in the district.
