Kakinada District Medical and Health Department (DCHS) has released notification No. 01/2026 for the recruitment of 34 Civil Assistant Surgeon posts on contract basis. This includes Civil Assistant Surgeon (General) and Civil Assistant Surgeon Specialist posts. Officials said that this is a good opportunity for candidates with MBBS, PG, DNB, Diploma qualifications who are looking for jobs in the medical field. For specialist posts, PG, DNB or Diploma qualification in the relevant discipline is required. For general posts, it is mandatory to complete MBBS and be registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council. Selected specialists will be given a salary of Rs. 1,10,000 per month and General Civil Assistant Surgeons will be given a salary of Rs. 61,960 per month. The maximum age limit for candidates is 42 years, but age relaxations are applicable for reservation categories as per government rules. Walk-in interviews will be held from June 19 to 20, 2026. District Medical and Health Department officials have advised interested candidates to attend the interview along with educational qualification certificates, medical council registration, Aadhaar card, caste certificate (if required) and other relevant documents.
