Khammam, June (Puvvada Nagendra Kumar Punnami District Reporter) Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt has instructed the police officers to be on alert in the wake of the heavy rains in the district to prevent any trouble for the people. He spoke in a video conference with the district police officers on the prevention of rains, floods and the sale of fake seeds. Keeping in mind the experiences of heavy rains in the past, he suggested that the bridges, flats and flooded areas damaged due to water surge at ponds, ponds, streams and canals should be inspected. He said that appropriate measures should be taken to prevent accidents by continuously consulting the local people in the flood-affected areas. He said that the people of the low-lying areas should be prepared to provide necessary assistance immediately. He advised the officers to coordinate with the municipal, revenue and other departments to clear the roads from time to time so that traffic problems do not arise anywhere due to the rains. Similarly, he ordered that strict measures should be taken as per the government’s orders to ensure that farmers get quality seeds. He warned that farmers should not be ignored if they are being cheated by selling inferior or fake seeds in the name of famous companies. Farmers should be vigilant while purchasing seeds and should not be fooled by buying seeds from unknown people hoping for low prices. He said that some middlemen are forming gangs and cheating farmers by promising to provide seeds at low prices, and surveillance has been established at the village level against such people. Farmers were advised to inform the Mandal Agriculture Department officials or the local police immediately if they come to know about the sale of fake seeds. Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt said that the task force teams will continue to monitor continuously to prevent the sale of fake seeds in the market.
