Schools to reopen tomorrow amid cheers, 2026-27 academic year to begin – 227 working days of teaching and learning Hyderabad, June 14: Bidding farewell to the summer vacations, schools across the Telangana state will reopen for the 2026-27 academic year from tomorrow (June 15). After a break of almost two months, students and teachers will return to their schools. With the commencement of educational activities in government, Zilla Parishad, municipal, Adarsh, KGBV, Gurukul and private schools in the state, the school premises will once again be bustling with students. There will be a total of 227 working days in this academic year. The Education Department has completed all the arrangements so that there is no disruption to the education of the students. The officials have paid special attention to issues such as cleanliness of schools, drinking water facility, electricity, maintenance of toilets and implementation of the mid-day meal scheme. Meanwhile, TGS RTC has taken special measures to provide transport facilities to students. TGS RTC Managing Director Y. Nagireddy has instructed the officials to run sufficient number of buses as per the needs of the students on all routes in the state. He suggested that the old routes should be restored so that students in rural areas do not face travel difficulties and additional trips should be run if necessary. RTC officials have been issued clear instructions to ensure that the buses are punctual and that additional services should be arranged on congested routes so that students reach schools on time. Officials said that special monitoring will be continued keeping in mind the safety and comfort of the students. With the government, education department and RTC departments completing the arrangements for the new academic year in coordination, students across the state will attend schools enthusiastically.
