State Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who was present at the inauguration of various development programs in Srikolanu village of A.S. Peta mandal under the Atmakur constituency on Wednesday, visited the local Zilla Parishad High School.
At the warm invitation of the school students, he inspected the school premises. On this occasion, Minister Anam specially congratulated the students who participated in hockey games at the national level and showed excellent talent. He congratulated the players who rose from rural areas to the national level and brought good name to the school and the region.

Minister Anam congratulated the teachers, including physical education teacher Thomas Peter, for their efforts in shaping them. He instructed the relevant officials to develop the school sports grounds to provide better sports facilities to the students. He suggested that the officials should come forward with proposals related to the development of the sports ground.
The Minister said that if sportspersons in rural areas are encouraged, they will create wonders at the national and international levels. He said that the Srikolanu High School sports ground will be modernized and a mineral water plant will be set up and made available to the students soon. Local public representatives, school principals, teachers, Panchayat Raj, Mandal Parishad officials, and village leaders participated in this program.
