A controversy over the conduct of Urdu classes in Telangana’s Nizamabad district has led to tension. Alleging that Urdu was being taught during Hindi classes at a private school in Armur mandal, local BJP leader Ambedkar Balu along with his followers entered the school and confronted the management. The argument that took place on this occasion led to a clash and the headmaster was attacked, police said. A case has been registered in the incident and several people have been arrested along with the BJP leader. On the other hand, another case has been registered against the school management and teachers on charges of inciting social discord and investigation is underway.
